| Here you will find links and info where possible, to Irish Showbands and groups from the 1960's onwards,and all things musical.Far from being hedonistic days,most of the bands took the music quite seriously,but to play was always fun. Many of the musicians who played in these bands are now scattered all over the globe,some are famous some are not. Either way, many are still playing music today. But in common they were entertainment with that feel-good factor.It would be great for that tradition to be carried on, a unique Irish thing. |
