HOME
I produced this album at home, using trial and error, with this equipment; Studiomaster stereo mixer amp 708,
RCF speakers,(so's we could hear things).
Shure 55's mikes.
two minidisc players(Sharp)in analogue mode.
a Roland xp-50 synth.
Charvel bass(with a very sharp machine head)
Fender Strat for lead and rhythmn(for rhythmn i played the Strat through a Boss acoustic simulator pedal).
this is the same gear that we use wherever we play. The final result, was burned onto cd,at a very low cost per cd.Thanks to Franco at the "Toscano lounge", in Newcastle, co Down for the use of his bar, great acoustics there.

Try the links on the first page to the Toplist-Team,and Cybermidi for up to date midi, some of which we incorporated with our live sound for our cd. Both sites work on midi files designed with both musicians and music lovers in mind. If you click on Van Basco's icon, the link will take you to a free, (totally free) download of a Van Basco midi file player. it also has a good search engine, for midi files.

The great thing about using a Minidisc set-up,is that by default it uses compression in recording. This means that  it does away with any uneccesary sound  to be able to record onto such a small disc. This also means, by accident if you like, that you don't need expensive and delicate studio  mikes to get excellent  voice (and guitar) reproduction. Though we use what is really add-on modules, they have been 100% reliable over five years of use,and so have the discs themselves.
