The K52 Frankfurt. An interesting line-up of musical equipment in this photo,Johnny on the left is playing his Gretsch Country Gent and you can just about make out a Baby Binson behind him sitting on his Vox top-cut, in the middle is Stanley playing a Gretsch Tennessean through a Fender Supertwin, and I'm on the right with my Fender Precision bass through (at that time), a Lloyd bass amp. Mikes would have been a mix of Shure and Beyer. |

It was hard work at The K52,the band would have been onstage from 11pm to 5am, with a quarter hour break each hour. As far as i can recall it would have been a 6 or 7 day week plus afternoon sessions on Sundays and public holidays, however we were paid very well. Another band would play from around 7pm to 11pm and at 10pm, under 18's would be ushered out. |
